Professor Cole is a faculty member at Columbia University where he served as both Vice President of Arts and Sciences and Provost. Author of an earlier book, “The Great American University,” and co-editor of “Who’s Afraid of Academic Freedom,” Professor Cole lectures throughout the world on topics related to higher education.
